Jessica Leon
Certifications and education
Jessica holds a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and
First Aid certification and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer.
Jessica is earning a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology with a minor in general business.
Personal training philosophy
Committing to something outside of your comfort zone that is targeted to benefit you is an honor you're doing for your physical and mental health.
Jessica lives by the quote from Michael John Bobak, "All progress takes place outside the comfort zone." Her goal is to challenge her clients to question their desire to become better than they were yesterday.
She finds it essential to create programs that engage clients and help them understand how to navigate toward their goals. Jessica specializes in weight loss, cardiovascular endurance and hypertrophy. She has a background in powerlifting and plans to open a private physical therapy practice one day.
Julia Martin

Josh Miller

Josh holds a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and
First Aid certification, is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer and Athletics and Fitness Association of America Certified Group Fitness Instructor.
Josh has an Associate of Science in general studies. He is earning a Bachelor of Science in food and nutrition with a minor in exercise science.
Personal training philosophy
Josh's training philosophy is based on breaking down barriers to fitness and healthy living. He says: "It's too easy to get overwhelmed by the glut of information on the internet, being told what new exercise you should try or what diet you should follow."
His goal is to help his clients achieve their fitness and health goals by equipping them with the tools that work for them, and helping them establish a relationship with fitness that goes beyond the gym into everyday life. Miller enjoys cooking, playing music with friends, working out and board games.
Mackenzie Suggs

Mackenzie holds a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and
First Aid certification and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer.
Mackenzie is earning a Bachelor of Science in food and nutrition with minors in psychology and kinesiology.
Personal training philosophy
Mackenzie's training philosophy is that, if you don't have the "why" for doing something, you'll have no reason to keep going.
She encourages clients to change their bodies by changing their mindsets and hopes to help those she interacts with by challenging them to push past their mental limits and strive for their true capabilities.
Mackenzie educates clients about exercise and its importance to overall health through her personal experience with competitive bodybuilding.
Her specialties include strength, hypertrophy and flexibility training. She plans to pursue a Master of Science in human sciences with a concentration in food, nutrition and dietetics.
Tyler Weiss
Certifications and education
Tyler holds a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification and is an American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer.
Tyler has a Bachelor of Science in nutrition specialized in exercise science. He is earning a Master of Science in kinesiology.
Personal training philosophy
Tyler's philosophy is based on the principles of progression. No matter the fitness goal, a customized step-by-step approach must be taken in order to accomplish it. When the correct plan is put into action, people's lives can change in ways they never thought possible. During his more than three years as a trainer, Tyler has learned how to guide people to become better versions of themselves. His specialties include strength training, hypertrophy training and physique development. Tyler is also the fitness graduate assistant for Campus Recreation.
Body composition assessments
This 15-minute three-site skinfold assessment, performed by one of our certified personal trainers, determines your amount of lean body mass versus fat body mass. At the end of the assessment, you will receive general guidelines for how to improve body composition.
Assessments are $5; scheduling and payment are completed in the Student Recreation Center administration office.

- Purchase a personal training package online.
- Complete the following documents:
- Personal Training registration packet
- Waiver (print, sign and scan)
- Submit the documents:

- Visit the Student Recreation Center administration office.
No refunds will be given for personal training sessions, packages or programs.
Small-group strength training
Practice proper weightlifting mechanics in a motivating small-group environment. This class will emphasize the fundamentals of weightlifting to create an effective and safe experience for beginners and avid athletes.
Whether you’re interested in gaining muscle mass, decreasing body fat percentage or increasing muscular endurance, this program will guide you toward reaching your goals.
