Jake is passionate about helping people gain strength and confidence as a result of their achievements in the gym. He specializes in muscular strength, endurance and physique development. He believes that everyone should get the opportunity to experience what their body can accomplish. Upon graduation, Brown plans to go to physician assistant school and start his own clinic/gym. When he's not in the gym, he enjoys cooking, hanging out with friends and spending time with his dad.

Education: Josh has an Associate of Science in general studies. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in food and nutrition with a minor in exercise science.

Josh's training philosophy is based on breaking down barriers to fitness and healthy living. He says: "It's too easy to get overwhelmed by the glut of information on the internet, being told what new exercise you should try or what diet you should follow."
His goal is to help his clients achieve their fitness and health goals by equipping them with the tools that work for them, and helping them establish a relationship with fitness that goes beyond the gym into everyday life. Miller enjoys cooking, playing music with friends, working out and board games.

Education: Mackenzie is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in food and nutrition with minors in psychology and kinesiology.

Mackenzie encourages clients to change their bodies by changing their mindsets. She hopes to help those she interacts with by challenging them to push past their mental limits and strive for their true capabilities. Mackenzie also hopes to educate clients about exercise and its importance to overall health through her knowledge and passion for fitness and wellness. Her specialties include strength, hypertrophy and flexibility training. She plans to pursue a Master of Science in human sciences with a concentration in food, nutrition and dietetics.
Mackenzie's training philosophy is the following: "If you have no 'why' for doing something, you'll have no reason to keep going."

Education: Max has a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology with a minor in nutrition and is working toward a Master of Science in kinesiology.

Max's training philosophy is centered around whole-body functionality. He believes the key to a long and happy life is knowing yourself and your body on a deeper level. Though exercising is an excellent tool for discovery, he believes true health and wellness encompass so much more than just getting into the gym and sweating. Nutrition, recovery and mindfulness are equally important factors. His specialties include flexibility, injury prevention/rehabilitation and cardiovascular training. When Max is not in the gym, he enjoys gardening, cooking and hanging with his cats. Max believes that it's not about how you look; it's about how you feel.

Education: Troy has a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology and is working toward a Master of Science in kinesiology — human performance studies.

Troy's personal training philosophy is that “it's a marathon, not a sprint.” After losing 123 pounds in 15 months, he realized it was possible to look in the mirror and love what he saw. He wants to help people feel the same way and lead the life that makes them happy. His specialties include weight loss and cardiovascular endurance. Troy enjoys anything outdoors, working out, running, video games and baking.

Education: Tyler has a Bachelor of Science in nutrition specialized in exercise science and is working toward a Master of Science in kinesiology.

- American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer
Tyler's training philosophy is based on the principles of progression. No matter the fitness goal, a customized step-by-step approach must be taken in order to accomplish it. When the correct plan is put into action, people's lives can change in ways they never thought possible. During his more than three years as a trainer, Tyler has learned how to guide people to become better versions of themselves. His specialties include strength training, hypertrophy training and physique development. Tyler is also the fitness graduate assistant for Campus Recreation.
Body composition assessments
This 15-minute three-site skinfold assessment, performed by one of our certified personal trainers, determines your amount of lean body mass versus fat body mass. At the end of the assessment, you will receive general guidelines for how to improve body composition.
Assessments are $5; scheduling and payment are completed in the Student Recreation Center administration office.

- Purchase a personal training package online.
- Complete the following documents:
- Personal Training registration packet
- Waiver (print, sign and scan)
- Submit the documents:

- Visit the Student Recreation Center administration office.
No refunds will be given for personal training sessions, packages or programs.
Small-group strength training
Practice proper weightlifting mechanics in a motivating small-group environment. This class will emphasize the fundamentals of weightlifting to create an effective and safe experience for beginners and avid athletes.
Whether you’re interested in gaining muscle mass, decreasing body fat percentage or increasing muscular endurance, this program will guide you toward reaching your goals.
