The Center for Business and Economic Research provides expert economic research, analysis and consulting services to private and public clients in the East Texas region and beyond.

Managed within the Department of Economics and Finance, CBER is a nonprofit center that offers data analysis, market research and economic impact analysis to the community while providing real-world training to SFA students for their future careers.

CBER also works to inform the public about the impact of national and state policies on the local economy, the effects of major events on the economy and the role of new initiatives. Our goal is to provide quality research and data services to support informed economic decision-making and regional economic development.
