SFA Student Success Courses

Why the SFA Student Success Courses are Important

It is important that students understand what they need to do to be successful in college and to ensure continued success in their professional careers. The SFAS Student Success Courses promote active learning, personal growth and achievement.

These courses really do make a difference!

Students who take the SFAS 1101 Student Success course tend to stay in college longer, have higher GPA's, and are more actively involved in campus life. Many academically able students lose focus and drop out of college. SFAS 1101 can make the difference between success and failure!

The Student Success Center offers two different Student Success Courses to accommodate the needs of our diverse student population. The SFAS 1101 course is designed for incoming freshmen and the SFAS 3101 course is designed for incoming transfer students. The finest faculty and staff are chosen to teach this course. SFAS instructors and student instructors become great resources for linking you to many other resources that can help make your college days a positive experience. Student Instructors are junior or senior students who work with the class. They are here to help YOU SUCCEED!
