All dancers attending this audition receive one complementary ticket to the Tableau: Dance Faculty Concert at 2 p.m. and will be considered for scholarship. Auditionees must bring a current headshot and resume.

Video auditions

Dancers may audition for the SFA dance program and technique placement through a video submission, if they are unable to attend an in-person audition or technique class. To be considered, video submissions must be submitted by Dec. 1 for spring semester admittance or by June 1 for fall semester admittance. Any submission submitted after the June 1 deadline will result in a technique placement of Level 1.

How to submit a video audition

  1. Please learn the dance program audition phrases and upload your recording as an unlisted YouTube video.
  2. Complete the School of Theatre and Dance application. You will provide the link to your audition video in the application.

You will receive a thank-you email following receipt of all submitted materials. Please reach out to Heather Samuelson at samuelsoh@sfasu.edu with questions.

We look forward to dancing with you!
