Your hands-on future
At SFA, we get you out of the classroom lectures and into the barn. You'll learn by doing, working directly with animals, feed formulation and production systems. Build a competitive edge through real-world activities such as rearing various poultry, evaluating meat quality, formulating animal feed and managing livestock health.
Core science requirements and specialized industry training have you diving into essential topics like reproductive physiology, meat science and genetics. These courses ensure you understand both the science and the business of animal production.

Priority deadlines
SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
