The Master of Forestry is a 30-credit-hour program designed to sharpen your expertise. You’ll combine advanced forestry knowledge with business coursework to prepare for high-level management. You’ll also complete a final written and oral project analysis and exam during your last semester.

Requirements for admission
To be eligible for consideration into the program, you must:
- have at least five years of forestry work experience
- meet the SFA Graduate School requirements
- have an overall undergraduate 2.8 GPA or higher
- or a 3.0 GPA on your final 60 hours of undergraduate work
- and hold a baccalaureate degree in forestry or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
Note: If you have an overall average of 2.5 in your last 60 hours, you may be considered for probationary status.

- Secure a faculty advisor by connecting with a forestry faculty member who shares similar research interests.
- Apply to the Graduate School and submit your official transcripts.
- Submit a letter of application to the Department of Forestry identifying your advisor and two letters of reference on official letterhead.
