The field is growing. Step into a leadership role.
The social work field is growing significantly. With a predicted 19% increase in jobs by 2028, the demand for qualified professionals is rising across the global community. Our Doctorate in Social Work program empowers you with the advanced theory, teaching skills and leadership expertise you need to make a lasting impact.
This program is not designed to prepare you for initial licensure. Instead, it is an advanced, post-master’s degree focused on preparing clinical experts for leadership roles, health care administration, and university-level teaching
A practice-focused degree
You'll sharpen your skills in assessment, behavioral science, policy analysis and research. Our curriculum prepares you to lead, teach and practice with confidence. Because we focus on real-world application, you won't need to write a dissertation. Instead, you'll complete a capstone project that highlights your specific area of expertise.
The DSW is a three-year, 54-credit-hour program. You'll complete 45 credits of core coursework and nine credits of electives.
Master your capstone
Your capstone project serves as the culmination of your studies. It allows you to model how an advanced practitioner develops and communicates expertise. You may choose from several project options:
- Primary or secondary research
- Program development
- Training module creation
- Policy development
- Theoretical framework development
