Pollinator Picnic: Monarch Migration

SFA Gardens and Prairie View A&M University Extension invite homeschool families and community members to explore the world of pollinators on the first Thursday of each month. On October 1, attendees will learn about the monarch butterfly migration from Tatiana Suarez-Joaquil , Ph.D. candidate in the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture, and student assistant at the SFA Gardens. Following the presentation, hands-on activities about the life cycle and feeding mechanisms of butterflies will be offered. All are invited to bring snacks or a lunch and stay for a picnic from noon to 1 P.M. on the grounds of the Pineywoods Native Plant Center.
