Pollinator Picnic: Plants to Support Pollinators and Migration
- Thu, Sep 3, 2026
- 10am - 1pm
- Pineywoods Native Plant Center
SFA Gardens and Prairie View A&M University Extension invite homeschool families and community members to explore the world of pollinators on the first Thursday of each month. On September 3, SFA Gardens nursery and greenhouse manager, Jordan Cunningham, will discuss plants that support pollinators and migration. She will also lead a tour of the nursery facilities at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center, pointing out plants that bloom in the fall and support pollinators migrating south for the winter.
Participants will be able to start pollinator plants from seed to take home with them. All are invited to bring snacks or a lunch and stay for a picnic from noon to 1 P.M. on the grounds of the Pineywoods Native Plant Center.
Please RSVP to Julie Taylor or call 936-560-7711.
