SFA Gardens Lecture Series Features Brooke McGown of J. Berry Nursery

Join SFA Gardens for the September 10 Theresa and Les Reeves Lecture Series featuring Brooke McCown, research and development coordinator at J. Berry Nursery in Grand Saline, Texas. J. Berry Nursery introduced and owns branded plant collections, including "Deja Bloom Azaleas," "Black Diamond Crape Myrtles", and "Hollywood Hibiscus". McGown earned her degree in Agricultural Services and Development and minored in Horticulture from Tarleton State University. She has worked as the research and development coordinator for J. Berry Nursery and Genetics for eight years. McGown's presentation is titled "Who is J. Berry Nursery, and What Does a Research and Development Coordinator Do?"

A plant raffle will follow the presentation. Parking is available at the Pineywoods Native Plant Center, 2900 Raguet Street in Nacogdoches, or next door at the Raguet Elementary School.
