The Student Outreach and Support office focuses on connecting students in need of assistance to the extensive network of campus and community resources and support services.

Located within the Health and Wellness Hub, SOS staff members provide non-clinical case management and are trained to match you with the targeted services and programs to meet your needs and make the appropriate referrals. SOS staff members are not clinicians.

On- and off-campus resources

Academic assistance

Utilize your professor's office hours

If you are struggling in classes, one of the best resources is your professor. Visit during their office hours and ask questions! This also allows you the opportunity to receive feedback on exams, homework, quizzes and more.

Food insecurity

Emergency Meal Swipes

If you're struggling with hunger, you may receive short-term meal assistance through SFA Dining Services. Contact the Dean of Students Office at dos@sfasu.edu or 936.468.7249 during regular business hours.

Housing insecurity

Temporary on-campus housing

If you're in need of temporary on-campus housing, contact the Dean of Students Office at dos@sfasu.edu or 936.468.7249 during regular business hours.

If you have a concern not listed above, send us an iCare report, contact icare@sfasu.edu, call the Dean of Students Office at 936.468.7249, or visit the Lumberjack Wellness Network for a larger collection of resources available to you.
