Barbara Qualls

Dr. Barbara Qualls is the program director for the Master of Education in educational leadership degree, athletic director concentration and advanced leadership certifications for principal and superintendent at SFA. Her research is focused on K-12 governance and policy, especially the board/superintendent relationship. In higher education research, her agenda is geared toward expression rights, equity and ethics.

In 2019, she received the Educator of the Year award from Delta Kappa Gamma and was recently named recipient of the E.J. Campbell Endowed Chair: Professor of Educational Leadership for 2019 through 2022. She is a member of the board of directors for the Education Law Association.
