SFA to screen 'Seeds of Hunger'


NACOGDOCHES, TEXAS - As part of its monthly independent film series, the SFA School of Art and Friends of the Visual Arts will present a one-night screening of "Seeds of Hunger" at 7 p.m. Friday, March. 4, at The Cole Art Center @ The Old Opera House, 329 E. Main St. in downtown Nacogdoches.

The 52-minute documentary by Yves Billy and Richard Prost is a global investigation into the evolving nature of food production and the crisis it may portend.

Filmed in Africa, China, Latin America and the United States, it was named Best Documentary at the Bourges International Festival of Environmental Films.

Admission is free, but donations of canned goods will be accepted for a food drive benefiting H.O.P. E. (Helping Other People Eat).
