NACOGDOCHES, Texas — Stephen F. Austin State University’s Stone Fort Museum will close Friday, Nov. 22 through Nov. 29 for the university’s Thanksgiving holiday.
Regular hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Current exhibitions include "East Texas Originals,” which features biographies of the people who helped shape modern Nacogdoches and Eastern Texas; and "With a Purpose: The Women’s Club Movement and the Cum Concilio Club in Nacogdoches,” a temporary exhibit on display through March 2020 that examines the progressive era movement that resulted in the formation of women’s clubs across the United States and celebrates the 125th anniversary of the club in Nacogdoches.
The exhibitions are free and open to the public. The Stone Fort Museum is located at 1808 N. Alumni Drive on the SFA campus. For more information, call (936) 468-2408.
