NACOGDOCHES, Texas –– Stephen F. Austin State University will present Grammy nominee and five-time Blues Music Award winner Sue Foley at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, in Turner Auditorium.

The performance is presented by SFA’s Micky Elliott College of Fine Arts as part of the University Series.

“We are excited to welcome an artist of Sue Foley’s caliber to the University Series,” said Dr. Gary Wurtz, dean of the Micky Elliott College of Fine Arts. “She is a remarkable guitarist who delivers a powerful live show. If you appreciate the great blues tradition and artists like B.B. King or ZZ Top, this is a performance you will not want to miss.”

Foley, alongside her seasoned rhythm section, delivers high-energy, guitar-driven Texas blues. A five-time consecutive Blues Music Award winner for Traditional Female Artist, she has toured with music legends including B.B. King and Buddy Guy and remains one of today’s most respected torchbearers of the blues tradition.

Critics have praised Foley’s “killer voice” and “blazing guitar chops,” noting her ability to balance intensity and precision while delivering an energetic and authentic blues performance.

The University Series connects the university and East Texas community with nationally and internationally acclaimed touring performers. The series supports SFA’s commitment to providing meaningful cultural experiences for students while enriching the broader region through live performance.
