Students who pursue a Master of Science in Forestry can choose to specialize in any of the subject areas in the Arthur Temple College of Forestry, including:

  • Silviculture
  • Forest ecology
  • Hydrology and watershed management
  • Soil science
  • Forest economics
  • Human dimensions in natural resources and resource interpretation
  • Wildlife management
  • Agroforestry
  • Urban forestry
  • Forest entomology

The Master of Science in Forestry is a thesis degree program. Students must conduct a thesis research project and write and defend their thesis work.
