You can manage unique livestock by examining the marketability of miniature and lowline cattle breeds. There are opportunities to engage with our local community by hosting educational events at the Todd Agricultural Research Center and SFA Gardens. A great way to build your professional network is through completing internships with organizations like the USDA Rural Development Office.

Your degree combines a Bachelor of Science in agriculture with a required minor in general business. This pairing ensures you understand both the science of production and the fundamentals of profitability.
You will study core business concepts while taking traditional agriculture courses. Topics include animal science, soil management, crop production and agricultural technology.

SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
