This concentration is offered within the Bachelor of Arts in studio art program. This 120-credit program offers a flexible course of study. It serves as an excellent choice if you want to pair your photography training with a minor in a field like business, marketing, mass communication or creative writing.

If you want in-depth technical training or plan to continue your studies in graduate school, consider the Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art with a focus on photography.

Professional success comes from doing and making. Study the creative process through projects that address conceptual development, thematic imagery and the impact of visual display.

Access professional tools

Our program balances classic film methods with current industry technology. Facilities include a wet darkroom with 15 enlargers, a well-equipped lighting studio and a digital classroom. Enjoy access to professional cameras, high-capacity inkjet printers and aerial drone equipment for modern capture techniques.

SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
