You have a vision. It deserves to be seen and the filmmaking concentration within the Master of Arts in studio art will transform your creative ideas into powerful cinematic experiences. You’ll learn to master the technical tools of the industry while developing a unique voice that commands attention on the screen.

Your work in this program goes beyond simple production. You’ll explore every facet of the filmmaking process, including screenwriting, cinematography, directing and post-production editing. You’ll gain the hands-on experience required to bring complex narratives to life. Apply to the studio art master's programs

Students seeking admission to SFA graduate programs must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution. You're responsible for submitting application materials required for admission and any supplemental items as requested.

To be eligible for consideration into this program, you must achieve a 2.5 GPA overall and 3.0 GPA in the major for clear admission.

Note: If you don't meet the minimum requirements, you may be admitted on a provisional basis under the guidance of the program coordinator.
