Hands-on engineering training
This electrical engineering program emphasizes real-world application. You’ll learn in the Cole STEM Building, where you’ll work with modern technology and collaborate with faculty experts. Class sizes are typically capped at 20 students. This environment ensures you get the personal guidance needed to succeed.
Gain essential experience outside the classroom by joining the student organization. This group provides opportunities to:
- compete in national contests
- join collaborative study groups
- assist faculty members with research
- and network with industry professionals.
Requirements for admission to SFA
All applicants must meet the undergraduate admission requirements. Select the option that best describes you:
- First-year student (have never enrolled in college)
- Transfer student (have enrolled in college)
- All other applicants

Priority deadlines
SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
