You want to help people. You are ready to fight for equality and serve your community. A degree in social work gives you the practical tools to make a real difference in the lives of individuals, families and organizations.

This program focuses on generalist practice. You'll learn to use prevention and intervention methods to support various groups of people. Your studies will prepare you to think critically about the challenges facing communities today. The curriculum builds on a liberal arts foundation. You will gain a deep understanding of human behavior and social environments.

This 120 credit-hour program includes professional social work courses, support discipline classes, field-practicum experiences and electives.

SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
