Dates and Deadlines

The fall term is split into three parts-of-term: full fall, fall I and fall II. Review the dates and deadlines carefully for the parts-of-term for which you are registered.

Refund schedules

Refunds upon withdrawal

A student officially withdrawing from the university is eligible for a refund of tuition and certain fees according to the following schedules:

Full fall

  • 100% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Aug. 21
  • 80% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Aug. 28
  • 70% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Sept. 4
  • 50% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Sept. 14
  • 25% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Sept. 21
  • 0% — After Sept. 21

Fall I

  • 100% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Aug. 21
  • 80% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Aug. 26
  • 50% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Aug. 31
  • 0% — After Aug. 31

Fall II

  • 100% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Oct. 16
  • 80% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Oct. 21
  • 50% — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Oct. 26
  • 0% — After Oct. 26

Refunds for dropped courses

A student dropping one or more classes but taking more than zero hours is eligible for a 100% refund of tuition and certain fees according to the following schedules:

  • Full fall — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Sept. 9
  • Fall I — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Aug. 27
  • Fall II — Withdraw on or before 4 p.m. Oct. 22

Note: Dropping to zero hours is considered a withdrawal and the withdrawal refund schedule is applicable.

Fall 2026 dates and deadlines

Key dates

  • March 25 to Aug. 21 — Early registration.
  • July 15Outside-scholarship funding priority deadline.
  • July 31
    • First billing statement
    • Payment plan enrollment begins (you must have a $0 prior balance to be eligible).
  • Aug. 14
    • Short-term loan enrollment begins (you must have a $0 prior balance to be eligible).
    • Late registration and reinstatements (you must have a payment plan).
  • Aug. 18
    • Payment due for full fall semester; amount due includes all enrolled parts-of-term.
    • Payment due for fall I semester; amount due includes Fall II part-of-term, if enrolled.
  • Aug. 25 to Sept. 1Advances are distributed.
  • Oct. 15 — Payment due for fall II semester.

Important: If you're enrolled in more than one fall part-of-term, your amount due must be paid by the due date of the earliest part-of-term for which you're enrolled. For example, if you're enrolled in fall I and fall II classes, the payment for both parts-of-term is due Aug. 18.
