This schedule is tentative and dates are subject to change.

Key dates

  • Full Fall term: Aug. 28 to Dec. 15
  • First Billing Statement: July 31
  • Payment Plans: available July 31 to Aug. 24
    • You must have a $0 prior balance.
  • Short-term Loans: available Aug. 11 to Aug. 24
    • You must have a $0 prior balance.
  • Cash Advances: Aug. 29, Aug. 31 and Sept. 6
  • Payment Plans for Late Registration/Reinstatements: available Aug. 28 to Sept. 12
    • You must have a $0 prior balance.

Detailed dates and deadline schedules

Full Fall - Aug. 22 to Dec. 9

Aug. 1
  • First billing statements for fall terms are emailed to your mySFA email account. These emails are generated thereafter on a weekly basis.
  • Short-term loans begin. You must have a $0 prior balance. Visit the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship's Loans webpage for more information.
  • Installment Payment Plans become available. You must have a $0 prior balance.
Aug. 5
  • Short-term loans begin. You must have a $0 prior balance. Visit the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship's Loans webpage for more information.
Aug. 12
  • 4 p.m. drop for owing prior balance. Any unpaid prior balance amounting $200 or more will result in your being dropped from all of your registered courses.
Aug. 15
  • Financial aid posted to student accounts.
Aug. 19
  • Installment Payment Plan: last day to enroll.
  • First installment payment for your Installment Payment Plan is due before 4 p.m.
  • Current amounts due by 4 p.m. and must be paid through one of the following options:
    • make payment in full
    • enroll in an Installment Payment Plan and make the first installment by due date
    • or apply for a short-term loan.
Aug. 20
  • Student Business Services and Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Aug. 21
  • Student Business Services and Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • 4 p.m. drop for nonpayment for all Full Fall classes
  • 4 p.m. deadline to withdraw with 100% refund for Full Fall.
Aug. 22
  • Full Fall begins.
  • $25 Late Registration Fee begins.
  • $25 Late Installment Fee charged if first installment is not paid by this deadline.
  • Cash advances on credit balances begin through BankMobile Disbursements.
Aug. 29
  • Cash advances on credit balances end.
Aug. 30
  • Barnes and Noble charges against credit balances end.
Sept. 2
Sept. 6
  • 4 p.m. deadline to drop with 100% refund. You must remain enrolled (cannot drop to zero hours) to be eligible for a refund on a dropped course.
  • Refunds begin weekly.
Sept. 7
  • Late Add Fee begins. You'll be charged $50 per credit hour and may add classes only upon approval from the course instructor, department chair and the academic dean.
  • Manual drop for nonpayment of current amounts due at 4 p.m. for all Full Fall classes. To register, add or change classes you must pay current amounts due through one of the following options:
    • make payment in full
    • enroll in an Installment Payment Plan and make the first installment by due date
    • or apply for a short-term loan.
Sept. 8
  • Reinstatement Fee begins. You'll be charged $50 per credit hour if you're re-registering for a course from which you were previously dropped. Full payment must be made for reinstatement.
Sept. 16
  • Second installment payment for your Installment Payment Plan is due before 4 p.m.
  • Last day to apply for an exemption or waiver (except the Hazelwood Exemption)
  • 4 p.m. deadline for late adds and reinstatements.
  • 4 p.m. deadline to withdraw with a partial refund for Full Fall.
  • 4 p.m. deadline to apply for a Short-Term Loan.
Sept. 18
  • $25 Late Installment Fee charged if second installment is not paid by this deadline.
Oct. 14
  • Third installment payment for your Installment Payment Plan is due before 4 p.m.
Oct. 16
  • $25 Late Installment Fee charged if third installment is not paid by this deadline.
Oct. 26
  • Full payment of repayment plans and short-term loans due by 4 p.m.
Oct. 27
  • $25 Late payment fee at 4 p.m. on any balances for repayment plans and short-term loans.
Nov. 11
  • Fourth installment payment for your Installment Payment Plan is due before 4 p.m.
Nov. 13
  • $25 Late Installment Fee charged if fourth installment is not paid by this deadline.
Nov. 23 to 27
  • Student Business Services is closed for Thanksgiving Break.
Dec. 9
  • Last day of Full Fall.

    • Financial aid posted to student accounts. If you're only in Fall II courses, aid will not be applied until the second disbursement on Oct. 17.
    Aug. 19
    • Installment Payment Plan: last day to enroll.
    • First installment payment for your Installment Payment Plan is due before 4 p.m.
      Aug. 20
      • Student Business Services and Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

        • 4 p.m. deadline to withdraw with a partial refund for Fall II.
        • Manual drop for nonpayment of current amounts due for Fall II classes.
        Oct. 26
        • Full payment of repayment plans and short-term loans due by 4 p.m.
        Oct. 27
        • $25 Late payment fee at 4 p.m. on any balances for repayment plans and short-term loans.
        Nov. 11
        • Fourth installment payment for your Installment Payment Plan is due before 4 p.m.
        Nov. 13
        • $25 Late Installment Fee charged if fourth installment is not paid by this deadline.
        Nov. 23 to 27
        • Student Business Services is closed for Thanksgiving Break.
        Dec. 9
        • Last day of Fall II.

         

        Withdrawal refund schedule

        A student officially withdrawing from the university is eligible for a refund of tuition and certain fees according to the following schedules:

        Full Fall - Aug. 22 to Dec. 9

        Dropped course refund schedule

        A student dropping one or more classes but remaining enrolled (taking more than zero hours) is eligible for a 100% refund of tuition and certain fees according to the following schedules:

        • Full Fall: On or before 4 p.m. Sept. 6
        • Fall I: On or before 4 p.m. Aug. 26
        • Fall II: On or before 4 p.m. Oct. 21

        Refund dates for withdrawal or dropped courses may be modified at any time without prior notice in order to comply with state and federal guidelines.
