Spring 2026 key dates
- Full spring term: Jan. 14 to May 8
- First billing statement: Dec. 5
- Early registration:
- Payment plans: Available Dec. 5 — You must have a $0 prior balance to be eligible.
- Short-term loans: Available Jan. 5 — You must have a $0 prior balance and a payment plan to be eligible.
- Advances sent to BankMobile: Jan. 15, 21 and 23
- Payment on current amounts due:
- Full spring payment: due Jan. 12 — Your amount due will include all enrolled parts-of-term.
- Spring I payment: due Jan. 12 — Your amount due will include the spring II part-of-term, if enrolled.
- Spring II payment: due March 5
Important: If you're enrolled in more than one spring part-of-term, your amount due must be paid by the due date of the earliest part-of-term for which you're enrolled. For example, if you're enrolled in spring I and spring II classes, the payment for both parts-of-term is due Jan. 12.
Detailed dates and deadlines

- Early registration begins.
- Dec. 5
- First billing statements for spring parts-of-terms are emailed to your mySFA email account.
- Payment plans: If you have a $0 prior balance, you may enroll in the spring 2026 payment plan using option 1 or 2 to pay your amount due in four installments:
- Payment option 1: Your financial aid will be applied first to installments.
- Payment option 2: Your financial aid will be applied equally among all four installments.
- Dec. 11
- Past-due balances due to avoid being dropped from all of your registered spring courses.
- Jan. 5
- Financial aid is posted to student accounts.
- Short-term loans begin. You must have a $0 past due balance and be enrolled in a payment plan.
- Barnes and Noble charges against credit balances begin.
- Jan. 7
- Spring 2026 Four-Installment Payment Plan enrollees: First installment is due if you enrolled in payment options 1 or 2.
- Jan. 12
- Amount due will include other enrolled spring parts-of-term. This must be paid through one of the following options:
- make payment in full
- make installment through payment plan, if you enrolled in this option
- or apply for a short-term loan.

- BankMobile disbursements: Advances end on credit balances.

- Manual drop for nonpayment of current amounts due at noon for spring classes. To register, add or change classes, you must pay current amounts due through one of the following options:

- make installment through payment plan, if you enrolled in this option
- or apply for a short-term loan.
- Full Spring: Late add fee begins. You'll be charged $50 per credit hour and may add classes only upon approval from the course instructor, department chair and academic dean.
- Reinstatement Fee begins. You'll be charged $50 per credit hour if you're re-registering for a course from which you were previously dropped.
- Manual drop for nonpayment of current amounts due at noon for spring classes. To register, add or change classes, you must pay current amounts due through one of the following options:
- Feb. 5
- Second installment is due if you're enrolled in one of the following payment plans:
- Spring 2026 Four-Installment Payment Plan option 1
- Spring 2026 Four-Installment Payment Plan option 2
- Refunds begin weekly.
- Second installment is due if you're enrolled in one of the following payment plans:
- Feb. 11
- Last day to apply for an exemption or waiver (except the Hazlewood Exemption).

- Spring II begins.

- Registration holds placed on student accounts with past due balances.

Refunds upon withdrawal
A student officially withdrawing from the university is eligible for a refund of tuition and certain fees according to the following schedules:

Dropped course refund schedule
A student dropping one or more classes but taking more than zero hours is eligible for a 100% refund of tuition and certain fees according to the following schedules:
- Full spring: On or before 5 p.m. Jan. 30
- Spring I: On or before 5 p.m. Jan. 20
- Spring II: On or before 5 p.m. March 19
Dropping to zero hours is considered a withdrawal and the withdrawal refund schedule is applicable.
Refund dates for withdrawal or dropped courses may be modified at any time without prior notice in order to comply with state and federal guidelines.
