Foreign Service Officers

Waivers

Waiver applies to nonresident tuition, reducing the amount to Texas resident tuition rates.

Eligibility

Eligible students are those who are:

  • foreign service officers employed by the U.S. Department of State
  • assigned to duty in an office of the U.S. Department of State located in Mexico
  • and enrolled in a public institution of higher education in Texas.

Non-immigrant aliens cannot serve as foreign service officers in the U.S. and therefore are not eligible for this program.
