Waivers

Waiver applies to nonresident tuition, reducing the amount to Texas resident tuition rates.

Eligible students are those who are members, spouses or children of:

the U.S. Armed Forces
or commissioned officers of the Public Health Service from states other than Texas.

Although nonresidents, the member, spouse and children may pay the resident rate while stationed in Texas.

You will need to mail certification and an Intent to Establish Texas Residency form to the Office of Admissions:

Certification, completed by your commanding officer on military letterhead.
Complete the appropriate form:
- § 54.241 (k). Nonresident military personnel, spouse or child
- § 54.241 (g). Resident spouse or child (military personnel resides outside of Texas)
