Fieldwork will take you from local rivers to global research sites. You’ll gain hands-on experience that sets you apart in the job market, working alongside experts to protect vital habitats and species.
Your path to aquatic expertise
This curriculum provides a foundation in both freshwater and marine sciences. You’ll investigate the behavior and ecology of aquatic species while learning to manage the environments where they live.
Active, hands-on learning defines this program. You will participate in wild studies in Galveston Bay, Bermuda, Hawaii and Florida.

Priority deadlines
SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
