Overview

Explore life’s complexity

Imagine you're standing in the middle of the East Texas Piney Woods. When you hear treefrogs calling, do you wonder how they communicate? When you see fungi, do you think about the pharmaceuticals hidden inside?

Biology is more than a textbook subject. It's your chance to turn those curiosities into a career. Come study the intricate beauty of life while learning to solve complex problems through the scientific method.

Biology is broad. Let's pick a focus.

Biology is literally everywhere. While our foundational courses cover the broad scope, you'll need to choose an area of study to sharpen the skills needed for your career goals.
