Establishing a foundation
The first 12 credit-hours in the program will focus on giving you a stable foundation for your degree. You'll explore evidence-based practices and formulate teaching models that allow you to adapt your instruction for various EC-12 settings. We also work on practicing curriculum design and evaluation. Data and assessment skills will be strengthened so that you are equipped to support student growth.
Add a concentration
The remaining 18 credit-hours of your coursework will be focused on your chosen area of specialty. This ensures your degree plan is specifically tailored to your desired career path.

Apply to the curriculum and instruction master's program
To be eligible for consideration into the program, you must:
- meet SFA's graduate school requirements
- have an overall undergraduate 2.5 GPA or higher
- have a valid Texas teaching certificate
- and hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
