This graduate concentration is part of the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction program.

Coaching your district peers

Develop your leadership skills to support other teachers by diving into bilingual methods, literacy foundations and curriculum integration. You'll become prepared to help improve school-wide outcomes through coursework that is focused on the following topics:

  • Bilingual Methods: Expand your expertise in ESL and bilingual teaching.
  • Literacy Foundations: Deepen your understanding of K-12 language instruction.
  • Teacher Leadership: Learn to mentor and support your peers.
  • Social Studies: Research best practices for history and social studies curriculum.
  • Science & Engineering: Lead the integration of STEM in the classroom.
  • Math & Technology: Master strategies for integrating digital tools in math.

Apply to the curriculum and instruction master's program

To be eligible for consideration into the program, you must:

  • meet SFA's graduate school requirements
  • have an overall undergraduate 2.5 GPA or higher
  • have a valid Texas teaching certificate
  • and hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
