This concentration is offered within the Bachelor of Science in education program.

Middle-level students exist in a unique stage of life. As a teacher for grades 4-8, you'll help them navigate this transition with empathy and academic support. This concentration within your degree teaches you specialized skills to manage a classroom and inspire growth. You'll gain hands-on experience through observation and student-led activities beginning in your junior year. By the time you reach your final semester, you will step into a full-time clinical teaching role to refine your professional approach.

SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
