This concentration is offered with the Bachelor of Arts in media and communication program. The BA degree requires 12 credit hours of a foreign language and offers a broad perspective on your area of study.

If you prefer core coursework with a scientific focus and technical study, consider Media and Communication, BS with a focus in broadcast journalism.

Specialized production

Curriculum provides a foundation in broadcast production and editorial work. You'll focus on both the technical and creative sides of mass media to stand out in a competitive job market. In addition to core requirements, you'll tailor your skillset by selecting nine hours of production electives. You can choose from:

Visual storytelling: Focus on photojournalism or advanced photojournalism.
Newsroom operations: Study editing in a converged newsroom or broadcast performance.
Production design: Explore graphic design for media or video and broadcast graphics.
