The Bachelor of Arts degree requires 12 credit hours of a foreign language and offers a broad perspective on your area of study. If you prefer core coursework with a scientific focus and technical study, consider Media and Communication, BS.
Career versatility
You can sharpen your skills through our active student media facilities. Join the campus television station, SFA-TV2, or get behind the microphone at KAXM-FM. You can also write for the student newspaper, The Pine Log, or contribute to the yearbook, the Stone Fort.
A media and communication degree opens doors across various industries. You can craft narratives for advertising firms, manage brand strategy for social media or report the news in broadcast settings.

The bachelor’s degree prepares you for success in advertising, public relations, broadcast journalism, social media and general communication. You choose one of four concentrations to specialize your studies.

Priority deadlines
SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
