This path allows you to earn your secondary teaching certification alongside your degree without adding extra semesters of coursework.

Hands-on teaching experience

You'll develop your classroom presence through curriculum that focuses on inquiry-based lesson design, scientific unit delivery, lab safety management and real-world student teaching.

Path to certification

This professional concentration through the JacksTeach program prepares you to earn certification from the Texas Education Agency for teaching grades 6-12 physical science. You'll complete specialized coursework in physical science for educators alongside rigorous professional education requirements.
