- Production labs: Execute designs in active shows. Work as a control board operator, crew leader or stage manager for various productions.
- Design studio topics: Take specialized design courses that allow you to focus on your specific area of interest.
- Collaborative process: Work alongside actors, directors and other designers to learn how a professional production team functions.
- Internships: Undertake a full-season internship at a major regional theatre to gain professional-level training.
- Facilities access: Work in a 5,000-square-foot scenic and props complex and utilize professional-grade systems.

The Denard Haden School of Theatre and Dance application is a two-part process. Your acceptance into the theatre program is contingent upon successful admission to SFA. These two application processes may be completed at the same time.
