  • explore shared experience and develop community among Texas arts educators
  • explore media and processes applicable to the art classroom
  • develop new and refine existing studio art-making practices
  • and create original artworks to exhibit and discuss during our closing reception.

Led by School of Art faculty members Stina Herrera and Neal Cox, this summer will primarily focus on texturing and cold connections in metal, as well as book construction and binding workshops.

We kickoff this program at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 27 in the Art Building, Room 202, located behind the Art Studio on Wilson Drive. An itinerary will be shared with registrants closer to the session.

On-campus lodging for participants is offered in Lumberjack Landing, located across Wilson Drive from the School of Art buildings. You're encouraged to stay on campus as this allows you to truly immerse yourself in the collaborative atmosphere of the workshops. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation.
