Educators' Summer Art Studio

Community Programs

Note: This program will not be offered summer 2026. We plan to resume the summer course in 2027.

Open to educators at the high school, middle school, elementary and community college levels, this studio experience offers a unique opportunity for teachers interested in the arts to work with professional artists. Participants will use a variety of media and processes to:

  • explore shared experience and develop community among Texas arts educators
  • explore media and processes applicable to the art classroom
  • develop new and refine existing studio art-making practices
  • and create original artworks to exhibit and discuss during our closing reception.
