Avoid unrecognized organizations. Unrecognized organizations are not officially supported or monitored by SFA, often due to violations or lack of affiliation with their recognized Greek governing body. Unrecognized organizations are not monitored for policy compliance and therefore participating in their activities may be unsafe.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council consists of seven historically Black recognized Greek-letter organizations. The NPHC community upholds the principles of its individual organizations and works as a whole through brother and sisterhood to excel in academics, service and campus involvement.
