One BIG day of service

SFA’s The Big Event brings student volunteers together to express our gratitude for the support by the Nacogdoches community. Small teams of students fan out to complete projects for local residents, including painting, yardwork, cleaning, trash collecting, window washing and more.

Request a service project

Local residents are encouraged to request a service project as early as January each year. Projects are not accepted based on need or socioeconomic status. Absolutely anyone in Nacogdoches County can apply for a project to be completed by our student volunteers!

Student leaders needed

We're always looking for student staff members who share a passion for service and want to take on greater responsibility in planning The Big Event. Contact the Involvement Center for more information.

Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to consider becoming a sponsor of The Big Event. We strive to make this the biggest day of community service of the year and your support helps us maintain the resources to continue this goal.
