Well-being coaches

Well-being coaches are not therapists or psychologists, and don't assess or diagnose health conditions. Our coaches are trained undergraduate and graduate students who consider you the expert in your own well-being and life. They are here to help support and guide you toward achieving your goals.

If your needs are outside of their scope of practice, they can refer you to other on-campus allied professionals, such as licensed professional counselors, registered dietitian or certified personal trainers.

What to expect in a session

Sessions are available in person or online. The initial 60-minute session is a time for you to work with your well-being coach to identify priorities, establish goals and create a realistic action plan. At the end of this initial session, you'll have the option to schedule 30-minute follow-up sessions. These serve as an opportunity to discuss your progress with your coach. You also can expect your coach to check in via email between sessions to assist with maintaining goals.
