Chief Information Officer

“The goal of education is the advancement of knowledge and the dissemination of truth.” - John F. Kennedy

What drew you to the higher education world?

Technology drives the world we live in.  A career in higher education allows me to work alongside a diverse group of people on a wide range of projects that aims to increase our students’ access to technological tools and resources necessary to further their education, and help them contribute to society.

What do you enjoy most about your role at SFA?

I enjoy the people.  When you drive into campus, it’s easy to be captivated by the beauty of the pine trees and the impressive structures.  But the heart of SFA is its people – exceptional students, staff and faculty.

What do you hope students gain from SFA?

I hope students discover their passions, gain a deeper understanding of the world around them and begin to identify ways they can make an impact in the world.

What are you passionate about outside of your role at SFA?

I enjoy spending time with my family and engaging in many of the outdoor pursuits available here in East Texas.
