There’s nothing quite like real-world experience to help you further your education. And at SFA, Lumberjacks studying physics, engineering and astronomy can take advantage of valuable internships and activities.

Be active

SFA is home to more than 200 very active student clubs and organizations, and our students can participate in a wide variety of fun and challenging competitions. Here are just a few ways you can get involved in campus life and meet Lumberjacks who share your interests:

Internship opportunities

Our students have landed some fantastic internship and research opportunities at organizations such as:

  • NASA
  • National Solar Observatory
  • Research opportunities at universities such as UNLV and Rutgers
