This graduate concentration is part of the Master of Fine Arts in studio art program.
Beyond the Kiln
Concentrating your Master of Fine Arts in studio art ceramics provides the advanced technical skill and critical framework necessary for careers in the arts, education and industry. Coursework will help prepare you to become a professional studio artist, a gallery manager, a ceramic technician, product designer and so much more.
Applying to the studio art master's programs
Admission requirements
To be eligible for consideration into the School of Arts' MA or MFA program, you must:
- meet the SFA Graduate School requirements.
- and achieve a 2.5 GPA overall and 3.0 GPA in the major for clear admission.
Ready to complete your application?
- Apply to the Graduate School.
- Send the following three items directly to the School of Art:
- Your Portfolio: A collection of 20 art pieces, provided either via an online link or on a USB drive.
- Career Goals: A written statement explaining your professional objectives.
- Recommendations: Three completed recommendation forms.
