Coursework will guide you through human development across the lifespan, from child development to gerontology. Additional classes will explore nutrition, health, hospitality operations, merchandising and consumer problems. Outside opportunities for volunteering, participating in field trips and studying abroad will also enhance your professional growth.
Flexible and credentialed options:
- The Human Development and Family Studies concentration is fully online and is a Certified Family Life Educator approved program.
- The Family and Consumer Sciences concentration is accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.

Priority deadlines
SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
