- Family Nurse Practitioner: This 47-credit-hour concentration prepares you to provide primary care across the lifespan. You’ll gain the clinical skills required to diagnose, treat and manage patient health in various settings.
- Nurse Education: Focus on training the next generation of healthcare professionals. This 36-credit-hour concentration provides the tools you need to excel as a clinical educator or academic faculty member.
Applying to the Master of Science in Nursing program
Requirements for admission
To be eligible for consideration into the program, you must:
- meet the SFA Graduate School requirements
- achieve an undergraduate 2.5 GPA or higher overall
- have a valid, unencumbered nursing license
- and be one of the following:
- in your final year of undergraduate work
- holding a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
- or have 95 or more semester hours of undergraduate work at SFA and be approved as an overlap student.
It's preferred that you also have at least one year of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse.
