A message from the director, Ms. Crystal Adams

Crystal AdamsHello ECHL Family Members,

I am extremely honored and proud to serve as the director of the Early Childhood Laboratory. After beginning my love of the ECHL more than a decade ago as the director's assistant, I am excited to be back home.

I began working for the Nacogdoches Independent School District in 2010 as a classroom teacher, and I have served as counselor and assistant principal. I have taught part time for Angelina College and the Nacogdoches Adult Learning Center, helping adults enhance their reading skills and achieving their goal of earning a GED.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University and completed my master's degree in educational leadership and Master of Arts in school counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler. I hold certifications in educational leadership, gifted and talented supplemental, school counseling, English as a second language supplemental and as a generalist.

During my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Tristan, and our beautiful son, Grayson. A fun fact about me is I'm a huge Hello Kitty fan.

I am committed to providing high-quality child care to help ensure the development of your young child. I look forward to learning, growing and having fun with your child. I am absolutely ecstatic to build the foundation for your child of wonderful lifelong learning along with our wonderful staff members and families.

Best Regards,
Crystal Adams

Meet our office staff

Ms. Karee Clifton, office coordinator

Karee Clifton

My name is Karee Clifton, and I’m honored to join as an office coordinator for the Early Childhood Laboratory.

While I have a decade of experience in aviation, my most recent accomplishments have happened since moving back to Cushing. In addition to working at the ECHL, I also am the operations coordinator at the Nacogdoches County Exposition and Civic Center. I plan events from start to finish, including concerts, the Pineywoods Fair and the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show.

When my daughters were younger and played softball, I served as a coach, equipment manager, team mom, ballpark commissioner and scorekeeper. Now that the softball years are over, I spend a lot of time with my children, Jazmine, Kyla, Chase and Trista, my fur babies Lucy and Fred and fishing with my husband, Ricky.

As the ECHL office coordinator, my goal is to meet all of the children who come through our doors. Kids are our future and I look forward to helping them develop a great mind, teaching them that they can achieve greatness when they put their minds to it.

Ms. Ana Olguin, office and teacher substitute

Ana Olguin

Hello, ECHL family! My name is Ana Olguin and I assist in the administration office and classrooms at the Early Childhood Laboratory. I'm an education major and expect to graduate in the fall to continue pursuing my love for working in education and childcare environments.

My favorite things to do in my spare time are reading, creating art and gardening. I'm so excited to work alongside you and your child this school year!
