The University of Texas System provides liability insurance for SFA-hosted special events on non-SFA premises. For activities that take place off-site or out of state, some contracts require General Liability insurance. Special Events General Liability (SEGL) insurance is quoted and invoiced separately for each event to the originating department. Certain high-risk activities are excluded.
When SEGL coverage is desired, the originating department is responsible for gathering the required information for submission to the University of Texas ORM and SFA Risk Management: SEGL Application
