Stephen F. Austin State University’s Model European Union team, consisting of eight political science majors and one accounting major, earned third place in the Best Delegation contest during the 2026 Midwest Model European Union in Bloomington, Indiana. Team members included Mia Bradley, Riley Siegfried, Colby England, Crystal Reyes, Ezra Gaitan, Devenney Brandes, Aidan Cooner, Carlos Salazar and Aurora Williams.
Nearly 30 Stephen F. Austin State University students helped the Sylvans earn its seventh consecutive victory and sweep all the collegiate events at the Louisiana Forest Festival April 25 in Winnfield by scoring 54 points overall. No team has ever swept all the competition’s events. Louisiana Tech University came in second with 40 points, and the University of Arkansas at Monticello placed third with 35 points. Stephen F.
