Mission statement
The SFA Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry prepares students for success in their professional careers by providing a dynamic, learner-centered education. We use proven strategies in the classroom and laboratory that give the student the opportunity to learn fundamental knowledge and become a lifelong learner. We engage students in research using a unique mentoring program designed to impart solid problem-solving skills and marketable skills. We engage students in service within the university community, the broader scientific community and beyond. We prepare our students for success.
