You’ll choose from six specialized concentrations to tailor your degree to your specific career goals. Each path provides a deep dive into a specialized area, ensuring you graduate with the exact skills employers are looking for. These options include agroforestry, fire management, forest management, forest wildlife management, human dimensions in natural resources and urban forestry.

Program Highlights

Branching out through experience

Between your sophomore and junior years, you’ll head to the field station. For six weeks, the forest will be your classroom. You’ll practice timber inventory, wildlife sampling and mapping in a real-world setting.

Requirements for admission to SFA

All applicants must meet the undergraduate admission requirements. Select the option that best describes you:

First-year student (have never enrolled in college)
Transfer student (have enrolled in college)
All other applicants

Priority deadlines

SFA has rolling admissions. That means you can apply to the university anytime. Although, applying early has financial and housing benefits. Make sure to check with your specific department! Some programs need extra paperwork by a certain date to consider you for the upcoming semester.
