Axe ’Em, Jacks!
The CTL offers faculty workshops on a wide range of topics related to teaching, learning and related technologies. Specific workshop topics vary from one semester to the next, but commonly include:
- Brightspace topics, ranging from fundamental to advanced. We also offer two Brightspace Certificates—Brightspace Foundations and Advanced Topics in Brightspace. (Workshops that count towards fulfillment of these certificates will be designated as such in their descriptions.)
- Zoom, instructional video and multimedia
- Instructional design tools and best practices
- Student engagement
- Active learning tools and strategies
- Gamification
- Generative AI
While most of our workshops are designed with the needs of faculty in mind, staff and graduate assistants are also welcome to attend.
Workshop Registration
Most of the workshops offered by CTL are listed in SFA’s campus-wide workshop registration system, known as myTraining. To access myTraining, log into mySFA, choose the "Employee" tab, then choose the "myTraining" link and browse the available offerings.
