The first Sound Recording Technology and Music Production graduate programs in Texas

SFA's large and diverse School of Music offers two graduate programs that offer access to performers and ensembles across many styles and ample access to collaborate both within music and with other disciplines.

Opportunities abound for research and innovative application of new technologies, all guided by our faculty of experienced world-class professionals.

Master of Music in Sound Recording Technology

The Master of Music in Sound Recording Technology is designed for individuals with a strong background in music and audio engineering with a keen interest in music recording technology research and practice. Students receive one-on-one instruction and learning experience as well as access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.

Master of Music in Music Production

The Master of Music in Music Production is designed for individuals with a strong background in music performance, composition and/or production who wish to pursue creative research applications in music. Students receive one-on-one and group instruction in advanced music production techniques, composition, and applied technical skills. MMMP students also enjoy ample studio time dedicated to their productions as well as access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
